Local Offer

Part of the SEND Local Offer:
SEND Local Offer details:
We offer a range of services for families who have a child /children with additional needs. Our team includes a Speech & Language therapist, a Portage worker, and a Special Educational Needs Transition worker, who are able to offer services both within the Centres, and also at home through our Outreach service. We offer Daisy Chains which is a monthly group at North Walsham Children’s Centre offering support to families and children with additional needs. Speech & Language Drop-in sessions are offered within all three Children’s Centres on a monthly rotational basis. The SEN Transition project has been running since January 2014, and aims to improve the outcomes for children with additional needs by supporting those nurseries and settings who are not confident with transitions for children either into the setting or from the setting into school. Eligible families will be identified using information given to the Children’s Centre, together with families nominated by the Early Years team and nurseries/settings. Self referrals will also be accepted if appropriate. All of our services are free of charge, and we are also able to offer additional support through our Children’s Centre Hardship Fund.
