Description

Sure Start Children’s Centres are responsible for delivering services for children 0 - 5 years and their families. This includes access to early learning and childcare, family and parenting support, activities such as breastfeeding support, parent & toddler/stay & play sessions. The centres works with other partners such as antenatal and postnatal services, Health Visitors and Midwives to offer support with health related issues. All Sure Start Children’s Centres also have a duty to provide access to information and signposting to services for families and children 0-19 and 0-25 for those children with additional needs. Access to our service is free. On occasion we may suggest a voluntary donation for special groups and activities.

We are a purpose built wheelchair accessible venue. We offer Stay and Play groups, Portage and swimming sessions. Supporting Communication development is one of three developmental areas we promote in all of our work with children and their families. All staff members have received inclusion training, we have family support workers who are Signalong, Portage, SENCO and Step On trained.
