Old Catton Pre-School (Pre-School And Playgroups)


Old Catton pre-school has been running for over 50 years, originally at the village hall in Old Catton but more recently on the premises of Lodge Lane infant School. We offer sessional care mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, term time only. We operate a waiting list system and follow our Admissions policy. We offer places to children 2 1/2 to statutory school age. We allocate our space giving priority to children in our catchment area and who will attend school the following acedemic year. Old Catton pre-school is run by a committee of Parents and has currently 9 experienced and qualified staff, 7 to level 3 and 2 members to level 2.

Old Catton Pre-school meets the needs of children, young people and their families by providing appropriate opportunities to learn through an environment that promotes inclusion. We operate a waiting list system and where financially viable, keep a place vacant to accommodate a child with additional needs. We have a ramp that provides access into the classroom, toilets situated within the classroom and access to disabled changing facilities. To support children's communication needs all staff are 'tiny talk' trained and we use visual timetables. We have three Special Educational Needs trained staff.
